The Little Girl They Almost Forgot

Five-year-old Sophie Reed, the little heiress of a wealthy family, is believed by the outside world to live in a happy home — yet she has long suffered covert abuse from her stepmother, Victoria. After a birthday party, Victoria deliberately traps her in the swimming pool, where she nearly drowns and is rescued by a passerby, Emma. As the investigation deepens, her father, Daniel, discovers that Sophie has not only endured physical harm, but has also been living in prolonged fear, loneliness, and emotional trauma. In the end, Daniel reclaims the fatherly love he had lost, exposes Victoria's scheme, and helps Sophie regain a sense of security and a complete, loving family.
