I Petted a Sea Monster Every Night. He Was My Boss

Marine biology intern Ella arrives at a deep-sea institute to study three lethal shifters: an orca, a jellyfish, and a shark. One touch lets her feel their pain, so she stops harmful tests and teaches them to communicate. She thinks she has made a scientific breakthrough, until she learns their gifts are courtship rituals. Worse, the clingy "baby seal" she cuddles every night is her icy director, an ancient whale shifter in disguise.
